Our Beneficiaries

The heart of our work — the children, women, and families we serve across Uganda.

Who We Serve

Uganda- Helping Hands is dedicated to serving the most vulnerable members of our communities — those who face daily challenges that most people rarely see.

From orphaned children who have lost parental care to single mothers struggling to provide for their families, from school dropouts with no hope for the future to low-income farmers facing economic hardship — we are here to restore dignity, opportunity, and hope. Each beneficiary we serve represents a life we are committed to transforming.

Stories of Hope

Every life transformed is a testament to the power of compassion and community. Here are some of the lives we've touched:

Orphaned children

Finding a New Home

Ten orphaned children who once faced uncertain futures now live under the loving care of Uganda- Helping Hands. Each child receives shelter, nutritious meals, emotional support, and the opportunity to attend school.

"Here, I feel safe. I can sleep without fear and dream about becoming a teacher one day." — One of our children
Tailoring training

From Struggle to Skill

Through our tailoring program, young women who had dropped out of school are learning valuable skills that enable them to earn a living and regain confidence. With five sewing machines and dedicated trainers, we train groups of five girls every three months.

"I never thought I could learn a skill. Now I can make clothes for my family and even earn money." — Program graduate
Education support

A Second Chance at School

Through donor support, Masika Ritah was enrolled in school — a milestone that gave her a chance to begin her educational journey. Many more children are waiting for the same opportunity to attend school and pursue their dreams.

"Now I can read and write. I want to become a nurse and help others." — Masika Ritah
