Extending a helping hand to vulnerable individuals and families in times of crisis.
In rural communities across Bundibugyo District, many families face daily struggles just to meet their most basic needs. Poverty, illness, natural disasters, and family emergencies can push already vulnerable households into crisis.
Uganda- Helping Hands provides emergency humanitarian assistance to vulnerable individuals and families when they need it most. Our aid programs offer immediate relief while also working toward long-term solutions that build resilience and self-sufficiency.
Providing essential clothing for children and adults, including school uniforms, everyday wear, and warm clothing for cold seasons. We also distribute bedding, blankets, and sleeping mats to families in need.
Assisting families whose homes have been damaged by storms or natural disasters. We provide temporary shelter solutions and materials for home repairs when possible.
Distributing essential household items including cooking utensils, hygiene supplies, soap, and basic furniture to families starting over after loss or displacement.
Providing emergency food supplies to families facing hunger, especially during drought seasons, after crop failure, or during family crises.
When natural disasters, family emergencies, or unexpected crises occur, Uganda- Helping Hands mobilizes quickly to provide immediate relief. Our emergency response includes:
Women struggling to provide for their children with limited resources receive clothing, household items, and emergency support during difficult times.
Children who have lost parents receive clothing, bedding, and basic necessities to ensure their comfort and dignity.
Vulnerable elderly individuals and people with disabilities who lack family support receive essential aid and regular check-ins.
Families who have lost their homes due to fire, storms, or conflict receive emergency shelter and household support.

"After my husband passed away, I had nothing. The clothing and household items I received helped me start over. Now I am slowly rebuilding my life. Thank you for seeing me when I felt invisible."
"The blankets and bedding we received came just before the cold season. My children no longer shiver at night. This simple gift changed our lives."
We work with community leaders to identify the most vulnerable individuals and families who need assistance most urgently.
We distribute aid with respect and compassion, ensuring recipients are treated with dignity and allowed to choose items that meet their specific needs.
We check in with families after distributions to ensure needs are met and connect them with other programs that can help them achieve long-term stability.
Local volunteers help with distributions, ensuring transparency and building community ownership of the aid process.
